Paul Howard - Personal Trainer

After owning two businesses over the past 40 some years, I didn’t know what I wanted to be “when I grew up”. I’ve always had an interest in fitness and have done my best to stay in shape.  I’ve had plenty of set backs, but the most challenging one is being diagnosed at the age of 50 with Rheumatoid Arthritis. There were days when I struggled just to walk. Due to this event in my life, my mantra became this:

“The worst thing you can do is nothing.

And the best thing you can do is anything.”

CURRENT UPDATE:

On July 25, 2022 I had a major stroke.  The major damage was “left side neglect.”

What that means is basically my brain has forgotten everything on the left side of my body. I had to learn to walk again and a year later I’m still working to regain all that I lost. I’m so thankful I’m at a place I can still do what I love to do and that is to help others their best life Thanks be to God. He keeps me motivated to work everyday to get better.

I believe that continuing to “move” and not be “sedentary” helps anyone’s quality of life. Spending time with my wife Tanya hiking, camping and traveling, is a favorite pass time. After my first knee replacement, we hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. At the age of 53, I ran my first Spartan Race.

I knew I wanted to help others after spending six months helping my dad prior to his passing. I became a Certified Personal Trainer in September of 2019 at the age of 59. I also hold a certificate in TRX coaching.

Helping others improve their quality of life is one of biggest enjoyments I have on a daily basis. If you’d like to learn more about what it’s like to work with a personal trainer, contact me using the form below and read about my available services here.
